A Victorian Sampler with a difference

This little shirt, all hand stitched in cotton linen, was made by my grandmother in the early 1880's in order for her to get promotion to headmistress at the school she taught at.

I keep it carefully wrapped in tissue paper  in a little blue box, with a photograph taken in 1924 of myself as a little girl taken with my grandma.
